About Clemency
Having practised teaching for a number of years, I view my lessons as a collaboration with students. I want to bring out any pre-existing passions you hold towards the subject, and develop your own interests alongside helping you towards any qualifications.

I will ask before our first lesson: - Your personal interests in English - Areas you struggle with, and want to improve - The specific aims you have, and any exam specifications you are working under. Using your responses, I will curate a course of personal lessons tailored both to your personal passions and aims in the subject. This will conjoin examination aims and ensure you are furthering any pre-existing special interests. My lessons are typically 1 - 1:30 hours. I begin with a series of warm-ups to help adjust to the lesson ahead (spanning creative writing/close reading/visual tasks). The main section of the lesson will depend on your exam board/personal aims, but generally this will contain a hybrid of discussion and practice papers, integrating essay writing techniques throughout. My Qualifications: - BA in English Language and Literature from Oxford University. - A levels: A*'s in English, History, Philosophy, and Art. - Currently pursuing a Master's degree at Oxford University. - Over 3 years' experience as a personal English tutor for all ages and levels. (My students have studied a range of different exam specifications, so I am familiar with the nuances and demands between each exam board). - Work as a personal TA for students requiring more tailored guidance and alternate ways of learning.
