About Elizabeth
I have a friendly and structured yet creative approach to teaching. I am a tutor and music teacher based in London. I received a First-Class Music BA from Oxford University, Exeter College, and subsequently studied at Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Before becoming a freelance classical singer, I maintained an excellent academic record, and now I enjoy tutoring a variety of subjects alongside my music work, as well as teaching singing, piano, and music theory. My other interests include going to the theatre and to classical music concerts, reading, and playing tennis. I have over 200 hours' experience teaching and tutoring, particularly working with primary school children. I successfully prepared five young singers to offer singing as a supplementary instrument in their secondary school music scholarships. I have over 50 hours' experience working with pre-GCSE tutees on a variety of subjects, particularly in preparation for school projects and tests. I also have over 50 hours' experience tutoring for the 7+ exam, in English, Maths, Verbal, and Non-Verbal Reasoning.
