About Olivia
I am a graduate from Magdalen College, Oxford having read Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I have a real passion for Politics, specialising in American studies and British government in the last 100 years but I also come from a very scientific background having studied Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at A-Level.
I am an incredibly patient and approachable tutor but also focus on making my sessions fun and engaging! Having run the peer mentoring programme at secondary school, I have experience working with students of all ages as well as supporting first year university students.

What will the sessions involve?
Politics:
In politics, it is important to gain a comprehensive knowledge of the topics on the specification so students know the key points to mention when they are answering questions in exams. I will also be able to provide up to date examples and statistics as well as alternative considerations for the question which are key to attaining high grades in politics.
Maths and Biology:
Maths and Science each require a good understanding of the basic concepts: I will make full usage of the whiteboard to explain any problems visually until students are confident that they are able to apply them independently to the problems they are faced with in exams.
More than anything else, my sessions will focus on building confidence and a core understanding of subjects so students aren't fazed during exams.
Applying for Oxbridge?:
Having been through the Oxford application process myself I understand how daunting it can all seem and know the importance of having someone who can guide you through the process so it won't seem quite so scary when you're being interviewed by tutors. I am happy to give interview and admissions test advice to anyone who needs it
