About Luka

Hello, I’m Luka. I completed my doctorate in the Department of Experimental Psychology at the University of Oxford, where I studied guilt, shame and how people repair relationships after hurting someone. Alongside my ongoing research, I teach A-level Psychology at an independent sixth-form college, so I work closely with the specification and mark schemes. I also tutor university students and anyone else who wants to understand psychology, wherever they are in their learning.

I teach because psychology is, at its heart, about you: how you think, remember, feel and relate to other people. Once students see that, the subject stops being a list of studies to memorise and starts to make sense. That’s when confidence, and grades, begin to rise.

Having spent years researching shame, I also know how easily the fear of getting something wrong can stop a student from asking the question they most need to ask. In my lessons, every question is welcome and mistakes are part of learning. Whether you’re revising for exams, working on a dissertation or exploring psychology for its own sake, you can expect structured, well-prepared sessions tailored to your level and goals.

About the lesson

My lessons range from clear academic-structured to open, collaborative research and in-depth discussions.

Lesson is usually one hour long, unless agreed differently.

I have been teaching Social, Cognitive Psychology and General Psychology for more than a decade for my master and DPhil (PhD) studies. Furthermore, I keep myself updated on most recent research and theoretical framing of topics of interest.

My lessons are for those who want to learn something new in Psychology, be it for a course they are taking or out of their own interest.
