About Justin
I’m a dedicated researcher and engineer with a background in physics, materials science, and engineering. I currently work in ultrasonic systems engineering, and my career has taken me from a physics undergraduate to a PhD and postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford. But it didn’t start out easily—I struggled with A-level Physics myself. It was only through the support of a brilliant tutor that I gained the confidence and understanding I needed to pass. That experience stuck with me. It showed me the power of good teaching and gave me the foundation to eventually reach the highest levels of academic research. Now, I want to pass that support on to others. Tutoring gives me the chance to help students who might be in the same position I was: unsure, stuck, or just in need of a bit more clarity. I know what it feels like to struggle, and I know how transformative the right help at the right time can be.

I hold a PhD in Engineering, a Master’s in Materials Science, and a BSc in Physics, and have several years of experience mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students.
