About Shriya
As a naturally inquisitive person, I love learning new information and enjoy talking to others to build a shared deeper knowledge. My choice in pursuing a career in medicine was established through a love of science, curiosity about the human body and most importantly my passion for helping others. It is this very passion that I aim to employ through tutoring other students currently studying for their GCSEs.
Once I figured out the best study methods for myself, I was able to score highly and consistently in all of my major exams both at school and university. I can help you do the same in an approachable and enjoyable manner, by building a solid foundation of knowledge and building upon it with complex concepts that will help you progress in your future academic career.

Hello! My name is Shriya and I'm a 4th year medical student at Oxford University, having achieved a 1st class BA in medical sciences.
I have prior experience assisting advanced learners at a popular tutoring centre, followed by 3 years of online tutoring which I continue to do and enjoy alongside my full time medical degree.
I teach Maths, Biology and Chemistry all the way up to GCSE level (Year 11).
I provide lessons over Zoom using a shared online whiteboard. Typically, the first lesson involves a discussion about what the student wants to get out of tutoring and key goals e.g. achieving a grade 9 in GCSE Maths.
We will then pick key topic areas to focus on and I will provide detailed yet concise teaching using diagrams, clear explanations and memory aids before wrapping up with past paper questions for targeted exam practice. Each lesson is entirely tailored to the student to be maximally effective and engaging, with plenty of flexibility regarding the focus of the lesson.
Lessons are priced at £30/hour.
