About Dan
Hi! I am Dan, and I am a final year student studying history at the University of Oxford. I have a broad education background studying Maths, History and Economics at A-level - attaining an A* in all three of them - as well as eight 9s at GCSE in subjects including Geography, English and Science. I am an effective communicator of ideas, regularly presenting to my peers at university and producing weekly essays for my professors. I also have a passion for teaching and helping others achieve their targets in an academic setting, combining my own knowledge and people skills to get the best out of the students I tutor.

I tutor a range of humanities at GCSE level, focusing on essay based subjects such as English and History. I have a plethora of experience in previous tutoring roles and excel in catering to individual needs, interests and syllabuses to provide a highly focused 1-2 hour long session. I have previously tutored GCSE students while studying for my A-levels alongside producing essay responses that have been used in subsequent years as model answers by my teachers at my school. I offer particularly focused and insightful guidance into forming arguments and structuring exam responses that fit marking criteria, helping convert classwork and specification content into effective question responses. My university education has also exposed me to the benefits of the tutorial system and I am well versed in applying classroom work to effective pieces of writing.
