About George
I am about to begin my first year studying English Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. I achieved all As at GCSE (eight grade 9s and two grade 8s) and am predicted three As at A level. I have a broad knowledge of all aspects of English literature, with in-depth understanding of the texts most commonly studied in schools. I also have strong English language skills, winning a national creative writing prize at sixteen. I know English can feel challenging and even unpopular, but I believe it’s completely teachable with the right support and methods. I am genuinely enthusiastic about helping students build confidence and enjoy English. I have already helped students improve from a fail to at least a grade 7 and love seeing others succeed.
