  My passion for English and private tutoring emerged during my school years, where I would often take on the role of tutoring my friends who found certain subjects challenging. Exploring the nuances of language and its impact fascinated me. Teaching became my calling as I recognized the power of personalized guidance. Over 9 years ago, I embarked on a tutoring journey, aiming to empower students with tailored support.

• Can you elaborate on the subjects you teach and the topics you enjoy discussing with students (and those you may not prefer)?

  My expertise lies in English, where I find joy in delving into literary analysis, creative writing techniques, and fostering language skills. I relish discussions on symbolism, character development, and narrative structures. While I embrace all aspects of the subject, I find challenges in areas that demand rote memorization without deeper understanding.

• Did you have any role models; or a teacher that inspired you?

  Certainly, a teacher during my university years left a lasting impact. Their dedication to nurturing critical thinking and a genuine love for learning deeply influenced my teaching philosophy. Witnessing their ability to spark curiosity and growth motivated me to aspire to be the same kind of influential mentor.

• What qualities do you think are necessary to be a good tutor?

  Beyond subject knowledge, qualities like patience, adaptability, and empathy are paramount. A skilled tutor tailors their approach to suit each student's learning style. • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject, or something entirely different?
