About Imogen
I am a final year student at Trinity College Oxford, studying Classics. I have been giving private Latin tuition to local students for two years now, at levels ranging from 11+ to AS Level, and have helped students to go up by several grade boundaries and secure the university offers they were hoping for. I am also looking to give English Literature tuition, from 11+ to A Level standard.
In addition, I have extensive teaching and mentoring experience, with 5 years experience as a debate coach, working in some of the UK's top schools and for the English Speaking Union as an Oracy Ambassador.

My teaching style is based on working through individual issues, identifying problems and creating personalised solutions to those problems. I prefer to teach 1 on 1 as this allows for students to feel not only like they are the most important person in the room during lessons, but it also allows me more freedom to change and adapt lesson plans based on the needs of the individual students. I have previously also taught classes of up to 20 students in other disciplines (debate, drama) where collaboration is more essential, but find for academic matters a personal touch is effective.
