About Nancy
Hi! I look forward to working wih you and helping you moe through the speed bumps that tend to show up while we're trying to learn. Sometimes there are thought pathways that we have already formed in our thinking and reasoning that we can use to move us forward in areas that we are having trouble in.
As we work together, I know we will be able to accomplish all you need to and probably all you'd like to. Like peeling an onion, we'll take each layer off and deal with it without tears, unless they're of joy!!

My approach to teaching considers each individual student, focusing on their abilities and encouraging them to excellence while filtering fun and topcs of interest to them.
When there is a learning block, I have found that the student responds well to a short reprieve from the assignment at hand, perhaps briefly asking about a recent vacation for example. After a few short sentences, an invitation to re-examine the 'block' is now more easily addressed and the stress level has disipated.
I have had the privlege of working with a wide variety of personalities, abilities and ages. This has proven very beneficial in giving me an insight into many learning styles and teaching techniques.
