About Pietro
Me: a 34-year-old Brazilian lawyer (sorry about that) who teaches as a way of keeping in touch with his humanity, but not so in touch that he won't take your money along the way. Had my first teaching gig at fourteen, giving chess lessons to people who should have known better. Since then I've taught Portuguese, English, French, German, Politics, Law and Philosophy, besides teaching others how to teach. How I got people to believe I could be remotely knowledgeable in all of that is beyond be.

No textbook. You'll be facing real stuff: clips from movies and TV shows, lyrics, excerpts from books, articles, poems. And me, a real-life life-sized Brazilian, despite the looks. This is how it goes: a thorough study of the material so that you can understand it all, some shadowing, some repetition, a few tweaks here and there, more repetition, big focus on intonation and voilà! You're fluent in a piece of Portuguese. Rinse and repeat and in 6 to 12 months you should be able to communicate on your own. Sounds easy? It isn't. Takes effort. But I'll be there cheering you on, OMI.

Classes are one-hour long. I mostly teach adults pursuing a corporate or academic career, but I'm open-minded.
