About Luke
I am an Optometry student who currently lives in Brisbane. I grew up from a small town in North Queensland, and attended Ayr State High School. I have always been passionate about Math and Science, and i really enjoy using my knowledge to help others. In senior school, I studied straight Math and Science so I have a wide scope of knowledge.

I have tutoring for half a year now and have really enjoyed online tutoring. Purely because it is convenient for the student and parent, as they don't have to travel or have someone come into their house. I conduct me sessions over zoom, as I find using the features of screen share and whiteboard very useful for demonstrating topics. I usually start my lesson with a general conversation, then ask the student if their is anything specific they want to work on. If not, I look at their unit outline and begin giving them questions to find their strengths and weaknesses. This allows me to provide advice and suggest suitable strategies. I find the biggest factor with students that helps their studies is having confidence, so i really emphasize my encouragement.
