About Kaiya
I’m Kaiya, an Ontario teacher who is passionate about fostering inclusive, engaging learning environments that support students in reaching their full potential. Having recently graduated from teacher’s college, I’m excited to begin my teaching career, bringing my enthusiasm for education to the classroom. I believe in creating spaces where all students feel valued and motivated to learn. Outside of teaching, I love to travel and explore new places, as well as hike and enjoy the outdoors. Spending time with my family, friends, and dogs is important to me, and I’m always looking for opportunities to connect and create lasting memories. I’m also a huge baseball fan, and I enjoy keeping up with the sport, whether it’s playing casually or watching games. Overall, I’m dedicated to growth, both as an educator and as an individual.

As an Ontario-certified teacher, I offer personalized English and language tutoring that caters to the individual needs and learning styles of each student. My approach is centered on building confidence, fostering a love for language, and strengthening key skills in reading, writing, and oral communication. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable exploring their abilities and taking risks.
Each lesson is carefully designed to address the student's unique challenges, whether it's improving reading comprehension, writing structure, grammar, or vocabulary. I use a variety of engaging strategies, including real-world examples and interactive activities, to ensure that learning feels relevant and fun. I provide clear, actionable feedback, helping students reflect on their progress and identify areas for growth.
In addition to academic development, I focus on building critical thinking skills and encouraging students to express themselves confidently, both in writing and speech. I regularly assess progress and adjust my methods to meet the evolving needs of each student. Ultimately, my goal is not just to help students achieve academic success but to inspire a lasting appreciation for the power of language.
