About Jennifer
I am a retired secondary school Math teacher who has thoroughly enjoyed enlightening many young minds over my almost 30 years of teaching. My expertise lies in preparing Grade 9 and 10 students for the Senior math courses by developing in my students a very solid foundation in Mathematics. The motto in my classroom has always been that "Math is fun!" and I truly believe that once I am able to build a student's confidence in Math, they actually see that Math is not only necessary in everyday life and for many careers, but an enjoyable subject area!

As Math is a skill, I will give a detailed lesson using examples on the concept being taught or met with difficulty and then provide questions for student to try with my assistance if needed and once I feel that the student has mastered the concept, then I will provide a practise set of questions with answers to attempt on their own. If necessary, we would review any questions met with difficulty during our next session. What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am able to simplify steps for students and I have the advantage of having taught Math to many different kinds of learners over my 25 plus years of teaching at the secondary level.
