About Charles
¡Hola, soy Charles! I’m an online Spanish tutor and recent graduate from the University of Manchester, where I achieved a 1st Class BA Hons in Spanish and Linguistics. I also spent a year studying at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in Spain!
I teach Spanish to all levels and ages, from complete beginners wanting to order coffee during their next holiday right through to A-Level students preparing for their exams.
My background in linguistics means I can explain Spanish grammar and sentence structure clearly, while my own experience as a language learner helps me understand the challenges students face.
I can’t wait to meet you! ¡Hasta pronto!

Learning a language should feel personal, practical and rewarding, which is why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to Spanish tutoring.
I tailor every lesson to the individual student, whether you’re a complete beginner, preparing for an exam, improving your conversation skills or simply learning Spanish for fun.
Your first lesson is completely free, giving us the chance to get to know each other, assess your current level and discuss exactly what you want to achieve.
I’ll then use what we’ve discussed to create a personalised lesson plan tailored to your goals, interests and areas for improvement, so your lessons are built around you!
We will do:
•conversation practice
•grammar
•vocabulary
•real-world Spanish
All at a pace that works for you.
My aim is to make lessons relaxed, engaging and useful, while giving you the confidence to actually use Spanish outside of the classroom.
