About Ruksaan
I’m Ruksaan, a medical student and avid coffee-drinker. I’ve somehow made it to where I am, so maybe I can help you in your academic goals too! It may be helpful to know I achieved 7 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and a grade 7 at GCSE as well as A*A*A at A Level. I am grateful and owe this to the study strategies I implemented, which not only saved me time - but also made my learning more enjoyable and less repetitive! I focus on current curriculums and mark schemes to tailor your exam technique towards achieving full marks. Sessions are focused on practice, not only being taught content. I have been tutoring for 5 years now and my methods have helped to improve grades for many students, particularly for those aiming high or wanting to apply to medicine/dentistry in future. It may be helpful to know I achieved 7 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and a grade 7 at GCSE as well as A*A*A at A Level. I teach online through Microsoft Teams, where I share my screen for students to be able to clearly visualise my teaching. I use a paid software to use clear diagrams and annotate around, as if you’re watching a teacher on a real life whiteboard. I then use past paper questions to help the student consolidate content teaching, and I then go through them in collaboration with the student to help rectify exam method and fill in knowledge gaps. I provide feedback reports as regularly as the student/parent would like, whether that be weekly, biweekly, or monthly.
