About Vivian

Hi! I'm Weiwei, a CTCSOL-certified Chinese teacher from China with 7+ years of teaching experience and 3,400+ completed lessons across platforms.

I've taught both offline and online learners from many different backgrounds. My approach combines a solid foundation (HSK framework) with real-life communication, so you learn Chinese you can actually use — not just textbook rules.

I specialize in helping adults learn Chinese for daily conversations, travel, and business situations. With a background in international trade and strong English communication skills, I can explain the Chinese language and cultural differences clearly, making learning easier and more effective for international students.

My goal is simple: help you build confidence and use Chinese naturally in real-life situations.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed around your goals — whether you want to improve daily conversation, prepare for a trip to China, communicate better in business situations, or build a strong foundation in Mandarin.

In my classes, you will learn through:
Practical speaking and real-life conversations
Structured Mandarin learning based on the HSK framework
Travel Chinese for real situations in China
Business Chinese for workplace communication
Clear explanations in English when needed

I provide customized lessons and learning materials based on your level and objectives. Beginners are very welcome — I'll guide you step by step to build confidence in speaking Chinese.

If you're looking for practical Chinese you can actually use in real life, I'd be happy to help you start your learning journey.

Perfect! The lesson was excellent. Vivian quickly assessed my level, used Chinese when she knew I would understand it and gave me a clear idea of what we would learn and how. She seems experienced, knowledgeable and very good at teaching!

Perfect! As a complete beginner who's already an adult, I was nervous about starting my learning journey but Vivian has been an amazing tutor —she’s very friendly, patient, and makes every lesson fun. Each lesson is well-structured, yet flexible enough to focus on areas I personally need to improve. I really appreciate the cultural insights she shares too, which make the lessons even more engaging. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn or improve their Mandarin no matter their age or experience!

你好， Angel :) It’s been a real pleasure to be your Chinese teacher. Over these two months, I’ve been really happy to see the great progress you’ve made—you’re such a wonderful and hardworking student. Every new point we cover in class, you not only understand it quickly but also use it well in our conversations. What’s more, you’re good at applying what you’ve learned to ask new Chinese questions, which shows how well you’re thinking actively, and that’s really impressive!

Now, we can already have basic Chinese conversations, and that’s a big step forward. I’m truly glad for you. I hope we can keep going together in your Chinese learning journey, and I’ll help you reach the level you’re aiming for!
