As a Soft Skills Educator, I believe learning should be practical, engaging, and transformative. My approach is rooted in interactive learning—where students are not just listeners but active participants. I use role plays, real-life scenarios, group discussions, and reflection activities to ensure concepts are experienced, not just explained.

Each session follows a structured yet flexible format:

Warm-up activity to activate prior knowledge or introduce the day's theme.

Concept explanation using relatable examples and multimedia where needed.

Interactive exercises such as role plays, peer feedback, or problem-solving tasks.

Reflection and takeaway—students summarize what they've learned and how they’ll apply it.

What makes my classes unique is the balance of empathy and structure. I tailor each session based on the learners' needs, pace, and comfort level. My sessions are known to be safe spaces where students feel heard, challenged, and motivated.

These classes are ideal for:

School students (Grades 6–12) preparing for presentations, interviews, or confidence-building or eyeing to improve both spoken and written English

College students and graduates gearing up for placements and public speaking.

Young professionals looking to improve communication, teamwork, and personal branding.

Whether online or offline, my goal remains the same: to help learners communicate with clarity, lead with confidence, and grow with purpose.

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Over the years, it has become clear that the two subjects that form the core of a strong academic and professional foundation are Math and English. Math develops logical thinking and problem-solving skills that support everyday decisions as well as future career opportunities. English, as a global language, enables clear and confident communication across cultures and professions. Together, strong skills in Math and English open doors, build confidence, and pave the way for success in any field.

After getting married, my husband transitioned into a sales role, which meant I had to leave my corporate job and settle wherever he was based. I have always been someone who prefers staying active and productive, so when we moved to Mysore, a smaller town, I decided to conduct a mathematics workshop. To my surprise, the workshop was very well received, with many parents asking me to teach their children. With nothing else occupying my time then, I embraced this opportunity, and it turned out to be the best decision of my life. Since that day, I have been passionately teaching mathematics and have never looked back or felt the need to return to the corporate world.

A few years later, drawing from my background in HR, I felt inspired to expand my professional horizon while continuing my passion for teaching. With a strong foundation in education, I pursued additional certification and became a certified master trainer in soft skills. This opened doors for me to transition into corporate training, where I now empower young professionals to succeed. I take pride in balancing achievements in both corporate and educational fields.

My core areas of expertise as a trainer include business communications, interview readiness, personal grooming, professional branding, and English language skills. These skills, combined with my experience in mathematics teaching, enable me to provide holistic development support that prepares learners for academic and professional success.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My decision to continue as an educator and trainer has been deeply motivated by my daughter. As a single parent with husband on continuous travels and also without any parental support, staying at home to care for her meant I could not step out for a traditional job. Teaching and educating have always fascinated me, and my strong desire to provide her with expert guidance in her studies kept me focused and driven, even during the most challenging times. This personal motivation has been the anchor that has sustained my passion and commitment throughout my journey.
  • How does your work help society?

I truly believe that guiding young professionals through education is one of the most rewarding paths, helping to shape brighter futures and open doors to meaningful careers. Through my work in mathematics, English, and professional training, I’ve had the joy of inspiring students and witnessing their growth firsthand. After all, children are our nation’s future, and it’s this heartfelt conviction that drives me to contribute, however modestly, to building a stronger tomorrow for them
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

When I began my teaching journey with mathematics, I often reflected on my own tutor from grades 10 and 12—those pivotal years that shaped my path and helped me excel in my board exams with outstanding results. He remains my enduring role model, and in every lesson I deliver, I strive to emulate the guidance, patience, and inspiration he gave me.

Later, as I transitioned into professional training—a path I pioneered out of a desire to expand my horizons—I didn’t have a single standout mentor. Instead, I’ve been fortunate to learn from countless trainers along the way, each offering unique insights that enriched my skills. I truly believe every trainer we encounter holds valuable lessons, making them all role models in their own right, and I’ve grown by embracing wisdom from everyone
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

In addition to my role as a confident educator and trainer, I find great joy in playing table tennis, where I’ve represented my team in several tournaments. I love it so much that I’ve coached my daughter in the sport, encouraging her to embrace it as a rewarding hobby that builds agility, focus, and resilience for the future. I’ve always championed holistic personality development, staying active in extracurricular pursuits like dancing, music, and painting since my early days
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

When I first started teaching mathematics in a small town, I vividly remember a nervous moment in my very first workshop. The room was modest, filled with curious parents and shy students who had little confidence in numbers. One girl, struggling to grasp simple fractions, reminded me so much of myself back in grade 10, when my own tutor patiently unraveled complex problems and helped me climb from uncertainty to success. Seeing her eyes light up as she solved her first problem on the board was like reliving that breakthrough moment all over again.
Later, stepping into the world of corporate training was a leap into the unknown. Without a clear role model, I immersed myself in every encounter—every trainer I met became a teacher who shaped my path. This taught me a valuable lesson: inspiration is everywhere if you remain open and eager to learn.
Today, whether I’m coaching a young professional on communication skills or helping a student master English and math, my greatest joy is empowering others to believe in themselves. Because I know, from experience, that with the right support, every one of us can transform challenges into stepping stones toward a brighter future.
