About Bonnie
I have been teaching piano and theory lessons for 33+ years and have taught thousands of children and adults during this time. I am certified to teach through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and have prepared many students for exams with great success over the years. I am passionate about teaching and my goal is always to pass on a lifelong love of music and learning to each student that crosses my path. I believe myself to be unique in that I have developed several approaches to teaching music theory in the hopes that one of the approaches will click with my student so they can be successful.

My lessons are geared specifically to the individual student's goals. If you are hoping to learn to read music great! If you want to understand songwriting techniques, let's do it! If you would like to have a good basis for music theory that applies to any instrument, awesome. If you want to prepare for an exam we can do that too! I have written, and am writing, music theory curriculum. We can use this or we can use a music theory text by another author. One of my favourites is Grace Vandendool. I am open to working with you where you are at to make our time together meaningful to you and your specific goals. Please note that I would recommend a half hour lesson for most students at a cost of $17.50/half hour lesson but hour long lessons are available as well if preferred.

Details
Lesson fees can be reimbursed if lessons are cancelled 24 hours before the first scheduled lesson. Once the lessons have begun there are no further reimbursements.
