About Jamieson
I’m currently studying a Master of Data Science at UNSW and completed a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies with distinction. I graduated from Normanhurst Boys’ High School with a 97+ ATAR, and I’ve always loved problem-solving and helping others explore the fascinating world of maths. I teach math intuitively so students truly understand the concepts, rather than just memorizing formulas. My one-on-one lessons are tailored to each student, giving them the space to ask questions, build confidence, and develop strong problem-solving skills. Outside of tutoring, I work in a professional data science role, which lets me bring real-world examples and applications to our lessons.

I teach Maths to Years 7–10 and Year 11–12 HSC Advanced students. My lessons combine structured step-by-step explanations with intuitive approaches, tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for improvement. I enjoy helping students discover that even the hardest topics can make sense once they’re broken down properly.
I provide practice and homework from textbooks and past exams, and I create extra exercises when needed. My aim is to help students build a strong foundation, gain confidence, and see tangible improvement in their marks and exam performance.
Lessons typically run 1 hour for Years 7–10, and 1–1.5 hours for Year 11–12 HSC Advanced students, but I’m happy to tailor timing to each student’s needs.
I tutor one-on-one in person (Asquith or within 10 minutes’ drive) or online, taking only a limited number of students a week so every lesson is personalised and focused.
