About Eric
I am a former St Olaves alumni and a current Biomedicine Student at Imperial College London. I studied Biology, Maths, and Chemistry at A level, and am an avid musician. I have previously tutored piano and violin at Grades 4-6, and English, Maths and Biology at GCSE and AS level. I have both had regular experience as private tutor and group tutor, the former being outside of school and the second via helping out as a prefect at school in running afternoon booster sessions for younger students. I believe that I am an outspoken and friendly tutor, and am able to effectively communicate with my students.

My teaching process focuses on making lessons both informative and fun - I believe that rote memorisation and doing practice questions aren't the most effective way to learn. Instead I like to use more creative and 'fun' process, such as regular quizzes, using mnemonics and working through questions constructively with my students which I believe is a much more interesting - and therefore effective - way to learn. My lessons are usually structured into 3 separate sections - recap, information and consolidation!
