About Nick
I became a maths teacher after a successful career in retail and cinemas as I enjoy helping others develop their skills. I achieved a masters level PGCE for mathematics and have then spent over 10 years teaching with great success. I have been rated highly by Ofsted, fellow teachers and students throughout that time and become a GCSE exam marker as well. I have done successful tutoring work for KS3, 4 and 5 pupils over the last 2 years.

My teaching method varies depending on the needs or preferences of the learner. The purpose of the lesson is to generate understanding and problem solving abilities in a topic, rather than just being instructed in what to do. It therefore involves discussion and experimenting as well as teaching. It also involves practical activity for topics when the pupil finds it useful to develop their skills and understanding.
