I am a teacher. I hold a bachelor's degree in education and an Advanced-English certificate issued in Australia. I have worked in high schools and I have also given private lessons for several years. I have enough experience in the field of education and I enjoy transmitting my knowledge to others.

My teaching methodology is modern and up-to-date. I start by checking the student knowledge and interests so that it is possible to make a study plan that suits their needs.
The learning process will be dynamic, addressing different aspects of Spanish which makes it to be acquired naturally, rather than only memorizing Grammar rules found on textbooks like old teaching methods. These ones made students unable to communicate the language learned in real life.
Lessons are meant for any age, levels or goals. It'll be learned the main skills: listening, speaking, writing, reading. Spanish will be approached in different ways by learning formal and informal vocabulary, Grammar, accents, pronunciation, skills for specific scenarios such as travels.

Perfect! Ivan is a patient and effective tutor that provides a good balance of structure and freedom for suggestion with his lessons. He understands the importance of immersion so expect to hear and speak more Spanish than English. He also shares my enthusiasm for history and culture so when analysing the language against such text I maximise my learning while keeping things interesting.

Perfect! Ivan is an amazing tutor. I have been doing 2 classes a week for 5 months and in that time my Spanish has gone from basic to intermediate. I like that he always has a plan for the classes but is very happy to deviate and tailor to my interests, which allows a natural and organic flow. Ivan has a great sense of humor and is also very knowledgeable about grammar, the world, history, politics and culture which makes the content what we cover, fun, interesting and educational beyond just the language skills.
Ivan is very reliable but also flexible around my schedule.
