About Dylan
I have always been extremely passionate about teaching. My decision to pursue a PhD was partly motivated by the flexibility it provides, allowing me to continue running my tutoring business while also teaching first-year undergraduate students. My interest in education stems from my personal challenges in engaging with the traditional classroom setting, which I found to be poorly suited for individuals like myself with dyslexia or other learning difficulties. I hope that through my lessons, I can not only help you master mathematics at any level but also foster a deeper appreciation for its importance in the world of science.

Over the past five years, I have continually refined my approach to teaching. My initial lessons typically begin with an assessment, where I set several practice papers and review them with the student to identify key areas for improvement. From there, I adopt a structured, topic-by-topic approach, systematically building proficiency over the course of several weeks before progressing to the next topic. However, to reinforce long-term retention in line with spaced learning theory, I dedicate the first 10–15 minutes of each lesson to revisiting previously covered material. Despite this structured approach, my lessons remain highly flexible and are adapted to meet the individual needs of each student.
