About Courtney
There is so much beauty in education and what we can learn from our history to modern movements, but this can sometimes become overshadowed by the pressures of exams, meeting expectations, and succeeding in all you do whilst balancing student life. My aim is simple: to help build a love for learning, to get you to where you need to be, and to make you feel more confident as you climb your high school years. School should be a place of development and enjoyment; by feeling confident and excited by your work, school is all the more enjoyable.

I aim to ensure my lessons and tutoring style cater to the needs of the individual! Whether you’re a visual, auditory or kinaesthetic learner, the teaching environment I create tackles each style of learning in the best way possible! No one student is the same, and it is vital that this is at the forefront of my teaching approach. There is nothing more frustrating than being confused, overstimulated and disconnected from work, thus my personal sharing of education will be fun, creative and stimulating whilst exploring depth and perception. I am a fully qualified Drama teacher, specialising in English literature and language as my second subject, and History as a third. I equally have extensive experience with SEND students, and take a personal approach with them to see what works best for the student. Typical lesson length: subject to depend on student. I usually allocate an hour. Age range: Year 6 (10yrs) to Year 12 (17yrs).
