About Jake
I am a New York City guitarist, songwriter, and performer behind The Streetlamp. With years of guitar experience across all genres, I help students build confidence, technique, and creativity through personalized lessons tailored to every skill level. My favorite guitar players are John Mayer, Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews, Green Day, Simon & Garfunkel, and Elliott Smith.

- I focus on good habit building and application of scales, chord shapes, and theories into real songs - to help players scale their library of playable songs.
- A typical lesson plan involves warming up, learning new scales and techniques, and applying that to songs.
- As a tutor I bring the energy and creativity, and my goal is to help my students find their resonance to lifelong guitar playing.
