About Matthew

I've been a successful actor and for the past 25 years, one of Hollywood's most successful casting directors.

I know what the takes to make it and my goal is to make sure you do it right. Cold reads, character breakdowns, on-camera auditioning, scene study, improv are just some of the things you will learn in the comfort of my conveniently located Sherman Oaks studio.

Each workshop is once a week for 4 weeks. $259.00 (cheaper than the majority of acting classes who don't share my credentials) Al major credit cards accepted.

Take control of your career. In 4 weeks, I'll change your life.

There's nothing I love more than helping actors achieve their dreams. Dayo Okeniyi, who shortly after working with me booked "Hunger Games" and now enjoys life on CBS' "Shades of Blue." Both Bella Dayne and Louis Hunter, stars of Netflix "Troy" were students. Jillian Rose Reed of "Awkward" fame and the list goes on and on.

My job is to prepare you for these opportunities.

Studied with famed teachers Lee Strassberg and Uta Hagen although times have changed and I have incorporated new tecniques to adhere to today's actor.

About the lesson

New students start with a monologue to guage their talent level. I then put together an individual program specifically for them. Each week the materials will become more challenging but I always make sure their confidence is growing.

"Matt taught me to take risks, to fully indulge in a character. He guided me to a place where I could play again and feel free within my work. I think somewhere along the way one can lose that. He brought me back to that and at the same time gave me some of the most fundamental tools that surprised me that I hadn‘t heard of yet during years of my conservatory acting training. I still use those to this day.“

I want to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart. You sparked something I'm not sure you're aware of. Long story short, I just got cast in "The Hunger Games" and its all thanks to God and what happened in your workshop. Everything happens for a reason and your initial enthusiasm sparked all of this

Matt is amazing! He really pushes you to go outside of your comfort zone to explore sides of a character you haven’t thought to before. He helps you to see things from a new perspective so you can find your authentic self in a character.
