I am currently a student but I have taught both French and English as a second language for nearly three years now. I have taught a group of adults and also, through a program supported by my previous school, I have tutored a small class of students.

Being a Neuroscience student, I have read extensively on the topic of neurolinguistics which strives to understand how the brain acquires and processes languages. I, therefore, believe that, when dealing with a foreign language, students should be encouraged to learn it naturally. This way, just like when they learned their native language, automatic responses to questions would become instinctive. Thus, they can start forming habits and achieve fluency in an easier and more fun way. Students are encouraged to speak at all times and there would be no excessive focus on grammar-translation.
