About Savannah
I’m in my third year of undergraduate studies at McGill University and have been a peer mentor in Physics and Chemistry as well as a teaching assistant for Math. Ensuring students’ success is my main goal in all of these roles and I’ve been able to develop an arsenal of techniques to ensure their improvement and learning.

I’ve been a peer tutor, mentor, and swim teacher for 6 years and have developed a good eye for both learning and teaching styles. I normally set up my lessons in a dual-style manner. This means, homework and worksheets, with structured problem solving during lesson times. This works on independent learning, question asking abilities as well as guided teaching in a classroom. I try to make my lessons enjoyable by being relatable and forming a connection with my students - an enjoyable learning environment fosters best results. All of my students have enjoyed their classes with me and has translated into improved grades and confidence in the classroom.
