About Scarlett
I am a dedicated and experienced tutor currently pursuing double majors in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I serve as an Active Learning Facilitator in the Mathematics Department at UCSC, where I guide students through Life Science Calculus concepts and problem-solving strategies. I also have several years of private tutoring experience, providing individualized academic support tailored to each student’s needs.
My background as a Paraeducator and Teacher Assistant has strengthened my ability to support students at different learning levels and build confidence in math and academics. My approach as a tutor focuses on true understanding, not memorization. I support students through each problem step by step while encouraging them to think independently.
