About Anastasia
I just graduated from Neuroscience BSc at UCL, specialized in computational neuroscience, machine learning and electrophysiology. Before UCL, I attended Presidential Physics and Mathematics Lyceum no 239 in Russia, which has been awarded the title of the best school in Russia. I have secured a MSc in Translational Neuroscience at Imperial for the next academic year.

Firstly and most importantly, I base my lessons around the needs of my tutees and believe in a gentle, friendly approach. My main aim is to show my tutees that maths is not scary, that it could be interesting, exciting and fascinating. My goal is to allow my tutees to enjoy solving math problems, and acquire an intuitive understanding of the math laws, using the methods we were taught by back in Presidential Lyceum. I found such intuition to be extremely useful when transitioning to university-level maths and being required to solve unfamiliar tasks. However, if my tutee’s main goal is passing any kind of standardized test/exam in a short time, I will change my methods accordingly to master the classical ways of solving the standard problems.
