About Sammi
Hi, I’m Sammi! I’m an Educational Psychologist (M.A., University of Massachusetts Amherst), and I love helping learners figure out what actually works for them. My approach is grounded in Carl Rogers’ person-centered theory, which is a fancy way of saying I meet you where you are and we go from there — no judgment, no rigid scripts.
I’ve spent more than a decade working in schools and higher education — as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, admissions representative for UMass Amherst, and educational advocate. I’ve sat on every side of the classroom, which means I get how stressful school can feel, and I know what actually helps.
I’ve worked with elementary students all the way through graduate-level adults — on everything from reading and writing to test prep, thesis projects, college applications, and resumes. Whatever you’re working on, we’ll figure it out together. I’m patient, curious, and genuinely invested in your growth.

My lessons are built around one idea: every learner deserves an approach designed for how they actually think, learn, and grow. As an Educational Psychologist (M.A.) with a person-centered, evidence-informed practice, I work with students and adults to create sessions that meet you exactly where you are — not where a curriculum or rubric says you should be.
Whether you’re strengthening literacy, preparing for a standardized test, drafting a thesis, sharpening a resume, building Spanish fluency, or developing executive function skills, lessons are tailored to your goals, your pace, and your strengths. We’ll identify what’s working, gently rework what isn’t, and build the kind of skills that carry beyond a single subject.
Expect collaborative, thoughtful sessions grounded in respect and curiosity. I bring deep experience supporting diverse learners — including those with learning differences — and I’m equally at home with students who simply want a more personalized, human approach to their growth.
