• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I always been interested in learning new languages, as I love to discover different cultures and I love traveling meeting people and communicating in their language.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  My 30 years of experience as a teacher of second language allowed me to witness wonderful progress in my students, from Kindergarten to Grade 12, and more recently with tutoring adults. I love to see the mutual pleasure we get of conversing together. Observing my students experiencing better comprehension and fluency in their verbal/written expression is very satisfying and gratifying for me. It is such a great reward of mutual efforts.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"? *

  I have a good intuition to find out what are the gaps and to offer creative ways to enhance my students' confidence in expressing themselves in the new language of their choice. I am always very well prepared and spend the time to create a fun, relaxed and productive lesson.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

  I have witnessed many great teachers in action in my career and I attended numerous workshops of how to teach a second language, either the Universities and at the school district where I taught.

• What are your keys to success?

  I am passionate about facilitating the learning process and I take interest in the life of my students. I love to develop a personal relationship with them, which allows meaningful conversations beyond the learning of the language itself. It fosters more interest, more intrinsic motivation and a desire to pursue the effort to study and practice.
