About Emma
Hi! I’m Emma, a dental student and Texas A&M Nutrition graduate who genuinely loves learning and even more, I love making complicated subjects feel simple.
I know what it’s like to look at a problem and think, “Where do I even start?” My approach is to meet students where they are, figure out what isn’t clicking, and find a way to explain it that actually makes sense. I’m patient, encouraging, and never want a student to feel embarrassed for asking a question.
My background in nutrition and now dental school has given me a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, mathematics, and science. I bring that experience into every session while keeping things relaxed, engaging, and personalized.
Whether your student needs help catching up, preparing for a test, mastering a difficult concept, or simply building confidence, I want them to leave every session thinking, “I can do this.”

My goal as a tutor is to make learning feel less overwhelming and more approachable. I focus on understanding how each student learns best and then adapt my teaching style to fit their needs. Rather than simply giving students answers, I break difficult concepts into smaller, easier to understand pieces and encourage students to work through problems with me.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of what the student already knows and identifying areas they are struggling with. We then work through the concepts together using clear explanations, examples, practice problems, and questions. I like to finish each session with a short review or practice activity to make sure the student feels confident with the material before moving on.
What sets me apart is my personal experience as a dental student and my strong background in science and mathematics. I understand what it is like to learn challenging material and the importance of finding explanations that actually make sense. I aim to create a patient, encouraging, and judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
I offer tutoring for students from Kindergarten through high school, including elementary, middle, and high school mathematics, biology, chemistry, and general science. I can also provide help with homework, test preparation, studying, and strengthening foundational concepts. Sessions are available online or in person in El Paso.
