About Xuan
Hello! I'm Xuan. I'm a consultant in the biotech industry, and I also teach maths & sciences in high school. I studied in a maths & sciences specialised high school, and then Natural Sciences in college, and then MBA as my post-graduate. I've been teaching since 2016, and I'm a big advocate for active learning. Classes with me are fun, activity-filled, and relevant. I teach high school, and my students have joined numerous top universities after their own graduation. I can't take all the credit to myself but I am proud to have been a part of their educational journey. My days are pretty much filled with science. But when I have some free time, I enjoy some good books over good cups of tea, and some other time I do various forms of physical exercise.

I usually teach small group classes (~5 students) in active learning style. I'm a strong advocate for science of learning, which involves proactive discussion, fun activities, and spaced practice. Each of my lessons is typically 90 minutes long to ensure we have enough time to cover all needed concepts and you can remember them before the next lesson. For 1-1 tutoring, I will still maintain active learning, so I do expect my students to come to class well-prepared with homework completed, and questions for me to clarify. I have a BSc in Natural Sciences, currently a biotech consultant and contract high school teacher. I've been tutoring and teaching since 2016, to high school students seeking GCSE, A-level, and IB.
