About Sienna
I am a Natural Sciences graduate from the University of Cambridge. I specialised in maths and physics, but studied French and Spanish alongside my degree. I have experience with three different tutoring agencies (The Oxbridge Formula, Kumon Tuition Centre, and Chapkin Edwards Education) in addition to tutoring privately for the last seven years. This has ranged from primary school level to Oxbridge interview prep! Having sat the reformed GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I have firsthand experience of the new style of examination and of the most effective revision strategies to approach them; most of the strategies I teach are those I still use myself!

My lessons begin with a brief summary of important points from the last lesson, followed by an explanation of the new concepts for the current lesson. I then focus mainly on application, working through questions together with my students so we can identify any areas that might need a little more attention and practise exam technique. After the lesson, I give students access to my own notes so I can be confident they'll have high quality material to revise from if they wish to!

Sienna has a strong aptitude for problem solving and a thorough understanding of the Maths and Physics content from her degree course, due in part to a strong foundation developed at A-level. Additionally, she often helps to clarify difficult concepts we encounter in the course by explaining them in a way that is easier to understand than as presented in lecture notes. She is highly dedicated to helping the A-level students she currently tutors and is always encouraging and patient. I’m sure she would make a great tutor on this site.
