About Sara
I am a student in Melbourne University studying French (advanced) and Spanish (beginner). I am Japanese but I also consider myself an Australian because I grew up here. I studied French for 6 years in high school from beginner level up until VCE 3/4 and I have experience tutoring VCE French students.

As an experienced language learner, I know that learning a foreign language can be a frustrating process, especially during its initial stages. But at the same time, engaging with French for the past 6 years has taught me that it can be a truly fun and rewarding experience depending on how we approach it.
My journey to mastering French as a non-native speaker allows me to think from the perspective of my students and help them keep motivated throughout the learning process using strategies that helped me become fluent in French.
