About TeacherAlana
Born in New York and native speaker of both English and Portuguese, my focus is to help people learn English with fluency, allowing them to reach their objectives, be it travel or for work, successfully.
I came to live in Brazil at a young age with my mother and siblings. I learned Portuguese through immersion at school, as no one spoke English, and maintained my English fluency at home. I've been living in Brazil for more than 15 years now and I am very aware of the many difficulties people may face when trying to learn a new language, especially when they are put into a situation where their native language is no where to be found.
My goal is to help facilitate their learning process, making English learning enjoyable.

I work with an hour-bank system. Payment is made beforehand, in which a class credit is created and as the classes are given, they are withdrawn from the credit.
