About Helen
I am a Translation and Interpreting graduate with more than 8 years of teaching experience. Spanish is my first language but I also have vast experience in teaching English and Portuguese as foreign languages. I enjoy working with both children and adults.

My teaching method focuses on the student and learning the language by doing. Context is vital when learning Spanish so it’s important to have the whole picture. I provide a complete skill practice rather than focusing on learning isolated phrases. I want you to have an active role in class as communication is what this is all about. I encourage my students not to focus so much on accuracy because errors are an integral part of the learning experience. At the end of the day Spanish language is about communication, it’s not just a structural system. My syllabus planning and design is completely flexible and adaptable to your needs.
