I am a university student in Glasgow who lived in Portugal for 20 years. I may not have experience in teaching my native language, but I excelled in this subject over my years in education. Also, I am familiar with the process of learning languages, so I understand which methods work best.

My teaching method is to instruct students on the language while introducing them to the Portuguese culture, as one cannot truly learn a language without understanding the customs associated with it.
I teach beginners to elementary students. I begin by introducing the foundation of the language, so its grammar, complemented with vocabulary and pronunciation. Furthermore, the lessons are complemented with audiovisual content. The rhythm of the teaching will depend on the needs of the student.
