About Dario

I started teaching Italian to foreign students when I was at the university in Florence 30 years ago, and after that I traveled around the world for 4 years, and I kept tutoring students part-time.
20 years ago I moved to California, and I have been teaching Italian full-time to many students of any level privately and in groups.

About the lesson

Italian lessons for everyone!!!
Ciao, my name is Dario.
I am an Italian native speaker, and I am offering Italian Lessons for anyone (18+) at any level over Skype or Zoom.
About me:
I am from Naples, the city of pizza, pasta, excessive gestures and much more. My Italian is clear, with no dialect and I do my best to speak slowly.

I have been tutoring Italian for 20 years. I do it with great passion and love helping people learn this beautiful language, and I like to create each lesson around the necessities of my clients.

For beginners: I always recommend to start with a good book, the one I use at the moment is Prego (6th edition) so that you can steadily build brick by brick your Italian language foundation that will stay with you for a long time. I will guide you through the book, helping you to easily understand it. We will do exercises, and practices. I will also help you to memorize many Italian words in a fun and relaxed way.

For intermediate/advanced: Conversation will be the main key during our lessons. You will learn idioms, proverbs, accents, and typical expressions. We will practice this wonderful language by reproducing usual moments and situations in Italy like, shopping, buying tickets, renting a place, going to a restaurant, meeting with friends, etc…

In order to have an Online lesson:

Have internet that works well with Skype or Zoom. Know how to use them with a camera, microphone and headphones a Venmo (preferred), PayPal or Zelle account.

The book Prego (6th edition one) the blue one, it's deeply recommended. It's very convenient, too! It’s better than the latest editions, since the latest editions have 2 missing chapters on the subjunctive. I am sure you will like it and find it very useful. However, we will also use lots of online materials.
“I believe people learn quicker when they study in a non-judgmental, fun and joyful atmosphere, but also with a steady guidance.”

For more info or to schedule your lessons click on Craigslist reply button at the top of the ad, (concealed information) or send me a message to my Google voicemail number (concealed information), and I will send you my email and phone number.
I am looking forward to meeting you.

Ciao, a presto
Dario
