About Gérôme
Hi, my name is Gérôme and I am a qualified teacher from Germany. I hold a BSc in Psychology and have over 10 years of experience working with young people in educational settings. I have previously worked as a classroom teacher and in after-school education, where I supported students with learning, homework and personal development.
I recently moved to Ireland and enjoy helping students build confidence in learning German. I understand that learning a language can be challenging, so I aim to create a supportive and relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving step by step.
My goal is not only to help students achieve better results in school, but also to help them develop a genuine understanding and appreciation of the German language.

As a native German speaker with teaching experience and a background in psychology, I offer structured and engaging German lessons for students at Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert level.
My lessons focus on building confidence in speaking, improving grammar and writing skills, and preparing effectively for school exams. I help students understand difficult concepts clearly and practise the types of exercises that appear in exams, including oral preparation.
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s level and learning style. A typical session includes grammar explanations, guided practice, conversation exercises and exam-style questions.
My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and gradually improve their German skills while preparing successfully for their exams.
