About Agnes
I am a native French speaker and a UK resident since 2006. As a keen traveller and explorer of other cultures, being able to speak more than one language was one of my goals in life, and I am very proud to have achieved it. It has opened many doors and created many opportunities for me, and brought me greater connection with people. I even plan to learn a third language!
I am professional, fun, energetic, patient and empathetic. English is not my mother tongue so I understand the challenges students can face when learning a new language. I was once in their shoes!

I studied with CAVILAM - Alliance Française to teach French as a Foreign Language. I am certified to teach English as a Foreign Language as well. Besides my teaching qualifications, I also have two Masters, one in Ecology and the other in Tourism and Environment.
I can teach productive skills (speaking and writing), receptive skills (listening and reading), vocabulary, pronunciation and/or grammar, and help learners of all ages and abilities become more confident in the French command, whether it is supporting them in learning or improving. I can be flexible and so adjust my teaching style and lesson content to meet the students’ needs.
My teaching experience includes:
- tutoring French to primary school children,
- running a French Conversation Club for a charity which supports the over 50s,
- teaching project management to young adults through lectures, classes and fieldwork.
I have experience creating learning material, planning and delivering lessons, setting up assignments, assessing student's progress, and providing them with constructive feedback.
Teaching is the passing of knowledge from one person to another, and it can take many forms. In addition to my above experience, I helped children with their homework, and during my professional career, I was in charge of training new team members.
