About Julia
I am a Ph.D. student in political science and philosophy at the London School of Economics. I offer a range of classes from history, politics, philosophy, and literature. Born and raised in France, I am also bilingual in French and English and offer language lessons for all levels. Having graduated from the International Baccalauréate, I am also familiar with the exam preparation required for IB and OIB exams.
My background is in social sciences and humanities. I studied a Bachelor's at King's College London in International Politics and a Master's in Political Theory at the LSE. I am currently DBS/CRB certified to work with minors/ teens/ schools. I have 7 years of teaching experience working with students up to university level.
In my spare time, I run my own podcast in French, I am an avid cyclist and cinephile.

I cater my lessons according to my students' goals and interests. Through close communication with my tutees, I aim to reflect alongside my tutee on their progression and always account for how they seek to build their skills. I also strive to diversify my study material by looking at cultural and interactive material including documentaries, films, podcasts, exhibits. This diverse approach allows tutees to develop fluency and confidence when engaging with the subject matter.
My strong background in languages, social sciences, and humanities has allowed me to develop a relentless curiosity and passion for the richness of human society. In my teaching, I aim to share this passion with my students and for them to share theirs with me as well. By creating a safe and informal environment to learn, to make mistakes, and to progress.
