About Albert
Outside of my PhD research at the University of Essex, I am someone who is genuinely passionate about the French language and the doors it can open. I moved to Colchester to pursue my studies, but I’ve always found that the most rewarding part of being a native speaker is helping others discover the beauty of my home language.
I first started teaching by helping my own university peers navigate their courses. It's not just about teaching, but it’s about sharing my culture and helping you feel as confident and comfortable in French as you do in English. I love the challenge of taking something that feels tough to a student and turning it into their favourite subject.

I’m a native French speaker currently pursuing my PhD at the University of Essex, and I love helping students find their confidence in the language. My approach is all about making French feel natural rather than just another school subject. Having spent years mentoring fellow university students to success, I know exactly how to break down tricky grammar and exam techniques for everyone from KS3 right up to A-Level. I keep my lessons flexible, usually starting at an hour, to make sure we have plenty of time to work on your accent and take the stress out of exam prep. Whether we meet in person around Colchester or on a call online, I’m here to help you move past the textbooks and start speaking like a local!
