About Gemma
I have always been a people person and the happiness I gain on a daily basis from helping those with a new language is the reason why I love to teach. Growing up I didn't really know what I wanted to be, but I knew it had to be something great. After years of trying new things I fell into an amazing opportunity, and fell just as in love with teaching. The flexibility and satisfaction I receive from teaching is why I want to continue teaching for the foreseeable future and why my motivation grows each year wanting to help as many students as I can. Now that I am older I would love to be able to teach and travel the world, which is another one of my passions. All in all, I hope to help you, my new student, with whatever aspect of the Language you need help in, from pronunciation to creative writing -I am here to help!

Growing up in Spain I soon realised that the teaching methods here are not what I thought they would be, which is why that after 5 years experience in a private English academy, I make sure that my classes are a dynamic, fun and a motivating way of learning English.
I have experience teaching students from the little age of 4 to adults with all levels from A1 to C2, and for all types of motives and goals. Most of my adults are wanting to further their career, achieve a post graduate degree, move to another country.. So my experience is vast in the way I teach and the materials I use. with the younger students my classes are very visual, enjoyable, and contain a lot of repetition to make sure they leave with new words or phrases each class. Moreover, the older groups are dynamic in that in one class I like to cover all aspects such as reading, writing, listening and speaking. My classes last for 1 hour, with a 5 minute speaking introductory at the beginning and at the end.
