About Maidina
Hi, I’m Maidina — a native Chinese speaker born and raised in China. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education in Chinese, and later studied Fashion Design at Donghua University in Shanghai, one of China’s top design schools. I have a strong foundation in Mandarin, especially in speaking, reading, writing, and listening. I’m passionate about helping beginners build a solid and joyful base in the language. My teaching style is friendly, patient, and supportive — I believe language learning should be fun, natural, and connected to real life. Now based between London and Birmingham, and occasionally in Shenzhen, I teach students from all over the world and truly enjoy watching them grow in confidence and fluency.

Speak confidently in everyday situations — travel, shopping, ordering food Master Pinyin, tones and pronunciation Recognise basic Chinese characters and build reading skills Write simple sentences and short texts Understand and use useful idioms and sayings (成语 / 讽语) Improve listening and speaking through real-life dialogues Build a strong foundation in Chinese for long-term learning My lessons are designed for all levels and especially for beginners who want to start from scratch and build real-life communication skills step by step. I offer 15- or 25-lesson structured programmes that include: • Practical conversation for daily life & travel • Pinyin, pronunciation, and tone correction • Reading & writing with basic characters • Listening practice with real Chinese dialogues • Introduction to idioms and Chinese expressions
