My name is Chris and I am from England. I am 40 years old. I have a BA in Sociology and an MA in international relations. I am a CELTA qualified English teacher since 2007, and I also have several years of English teaching experience before this.
The first time I taught English was in Vietnam when I was 19 years old and where I lived for 1 year. I have taught English in Vietnam, Korea, the UK, Brazil, Spain & Portugal.
* I am an experienced English teacher with more than 20 years of teaching experience. * I have a lot of experience teaching at different language schools, giving English courses at a university + with many private students for one-to-one classes. * After the covid pandemic, I moved all of my classes online and since then I now offer private English courses to students around the world by SKYPE, ZOOM, MEET and other platforms. * The online classes are interactive, using many materials, videos, audio and books which I send to the student to help them improve their English.
* I have a lot of experience with students whose first language is either Spanish, Portuguese, French. * I am a fluent Portuguese and Spanish speaker, so I know what it is like to learn a new language, to feel frustrated, and to feel happy when you improve!
* I have published several e-books online to help my students improve their English. I can send you copies of these books and we can use some of these materials in class if they are convenient to you. I have prepared many students for the IELTS, FCE, Advanced, Proficiency, TRINITY exams. I have long experience with professional/business English classes. I have taught at many large, important companies such as; Accenture, KPMG, PWC, Deloitte, Fox TV, and many others. I can teach business English and we can practise for job interviews, presentations or conferences.
The majority of my students are people with professional jobs who want to improve their English because they need it for work, or because they will move to a new position where they will need more English. If you need to improve your professional English we can work on professional vocab and phrasal verbs, emails, presentations, writing reports or any other area of your English that needs improving.

It is a complex test with 4 main parts, 3 of which need the student to focus on the English language to pass successfully, especially the Analytical Writing Assessment & Verbal Reasoning sections. I have helped several students pass the GMAT and other English language qualifications and perhaps I can help you too. My methodology is based on the needs of each individual student. Every student has a different class plan based on their personal needs. * In the first class I will evaluate your English level with a short grammar test + written evaluation. * I will ask you questions about your needs & objectives with English class. * Based on this information I will give you a list of grammatical mistakes that we will work on together. * I ask students to write a text for me for homework for the following class every week. We will analyse your written English together in class and correct your mistakes. * There will also be extensive conversation and some grammar practice in each class. * Every class I write down your mistakes when you talk and we will check these mistakes at the end of each class. In the final class of the month we will review all of your mistakes again and correct everything. I will send you this document so you can follow your progress.
