About Isis da Fonseca
I am a passionate, multilingual native Brazilian with a deep love for languages and cultural exchange. Having grown up and lived internationally—including attending high school in the United States and currently living in France—I speak Portuguese natively, am fluent in English and French, and have conversational Spanish.
My diverse background has given me a true insider's perspective on the challenges and joys of learning a new language. I am patient, adaptable, and genuinely invested in helping my students unlock their potential. Whether guiding a young learner or supporting an adult, I strive to create a warm, engaging, and encouraging space where every student feels confident to grow and succeed.

I use a dynamic, communicative approach tailored to each student's goals. Whether you are starting from scratch or looking to polish your fluency, my lessons focus on practical conversation, interactive immersion, and building natural confidence. I integrate grammar and vocabulary naturally through real-life scenarios, cultural contexts, and interactive discussions.
A typical Lesson Plan includes:
Casual conversation in Portuguese to break the ice and review previous concepts.
Targeted practice focusing on a specific topic, grammar point, or vocabulary set through dialogue, reading, or practical exercises.
Putting what you learned into practice with guided speaking, followed by immediate, constructive feedback on pronunciation and structure.
As a native Brazilian who is multilingual (fluent in English, French, and conversational Spanish), I truly understand the challenges of learning a new language. My international background and patient teaching style create a welcoming, stress-free environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.
My lessons are structured for learners of all levels—from elementary school students building their first foundation to adults looking to achieve fluency, travel with confidence, or master communication.
